Hey, welcome back, dear readers! I'm so glad you're here with me again. I hope you find this blog helpful and fun. Today, I want to talk about something that I'm sure many of you can relate to: finding inspiration in nature! We all have a creative side, and sometimes we feel it when we see something beautiful in nature, like a sunset or a mountain. We want to capture that moment, and that's inspiration!

If you love nature and jewelry, you'll be amazed by the work of two self-taught Costa Rican artists: Ana C. Prendas and Vega Valeriano. They use 0.095 silver to create stunning accessories that capture the beauty of the rainforest. You can find earrings, necklaces, pins, wrist chains, pendants, rings and more, all with a natural touch and a shiny finish. Let me tell you more about these talented jewelers and their creations.

To the left we can see a pair of handmade, 7 cms long, including the hook, Monstera plant's leaf motive earrings from Vega Valeriano Joyería and, to the right, handmade, 0.095 silver costarrican animals themed pendant collection.

Vega Valeriano is a creative duo that makes unique jewelry inspired by nature. Their latest collection, "Sounds from the forest", showcases the beauty of the Monstera sp. plant leaves and the charm of the frogs. I had the pleasure of meeting Flor and Milton, the artists behind Vega Valeriano, in their cozy shop in Moravia, San Jose. They told me how they love to explore the mountains around their home and discover new shapes and colors that they can transform into wearable art.

Ana is a jewelry maker who lives in Heredia, but she was born in Santa Ana, San Jose. She loves to create beautiful pieces with 0.095 silver and semi-precious stones. She gets her inspiration from nature, especially animals and flowers. She likes to make earrings, necklaces and bracelets with jungle animals like monkeys and toucans, or cute pets like cats and dogs.

This is a story about two artists who love to make jewelry by hand. They started their craft about 30 years ago and have been selling their beautiful creations at local and national arts and crafts fairs ever since. Their jewelry is made of bronce and silver, and features motifs inspired by nature, such as Monstera leaves. You can find bracelets for as low as $12, or splurge on a necklace for $100. They have a loyal customer base who appreciate their unique style and quality workmanship. Recently, they have expanded their business to ship internationally, so you can order their jewelry from anywhere in the world.
